PENHALIGON'S ALULA

The plum and patchouli open up so sweet and dark before the tobacco comes in, and it lasts on my skin for a full workday without turning cloying. There's a warm, almost resinous depth to the drydown that makes me keep sniffing my wrist hours later.

The saffron and tobacco really anchor this scent, making it feel warm and almost gritty like desert air, and the vanilla softens it just enough. I sprayed it on my scarf this morning and hours later the plum is still peeking through, which is exactly the kind of depth I was hoping for.
